Colorware Painting Results (pics)

I mailed my nano to Colorwarepc ( http://www.colorwarepc.com) to be painted. I got it back in the mail on Friday. The results are amazing - I am very impressed. They have lots of colors to choose from. It can be a single color ($64) or two-tone (body & wheel) ($84). The paint is very similar finish to a car. There is a clear coat that is applied that protects the screen as well. The scratches I previously had on the screen are no longer visible. I have been using my nano in pocket etc. and the paint is very durable - no scratches. The cost is really not that much when you add up the cost for cases and stickers/decals etc. The paint job they did is really amazing - I have looked over every small detail and I have not found a single flaw - it is perfect. I am so glad to be able to enjoy my nano without treating it like an egg shell - so afraid to scratch it etc.

Details: I mailed it FedEx Ground on 9/30, arrived @ Colorware 9/27, received e-mail confirmation of shipping on 10/11, arrived back to me on 10/14 via FedEx ground.

I would definitely recommend this service - I'm very happy with the results.

If you go to http://www.colorwarepc.com/content.aspx?id=40 and choose smoke for both options I think you get a better view of it, but I would still ask

I am going to call them on monday and will most likely ship mine to them on tuesday

if it provides scratch protection, then to me its worth the investment, especially to give it a little more of my own 'personallity'.....

The color I picked was "blaze" for the body and "Jet Black" for the wheel. They have (23) different colors to choose from. I tried to take pictures that show the color the best - I took it outside on a white envelope - in the Texas Sun.

I was a bit nervous sending it off - afraid of what the end result would be. The orange "blaze" color is exactly the same as the color used on the Nissan 350Z (Le Mans Sunset). I only know that because I have a 350Z - I put the nano on the hood and it disappears - freaky how exact of a match in color it is. When I got it on Friday I was blown away by the results. Every edge is perfect - no over spray or anything.

After the paint is applied there is a uniform clear coat finish put on it - this covers everything including the display. It is crystal clear. They best I can compare it to is automobile paint and clear coat finish. Like I said I had some scratches on the screen before I sent it in - now they are no longer visible.
