Toast 8 Titanium HD video settings

I am disappointing in the video encoding of Toast 8. (so far I have only tried encoding to regular DVD's, and they were beyond awful)

I want to record my HD video projects to dual layer DVD, Toast allows me to do the menus and burning. I am happy with the quality of VisualHub for encoding, so I want to know what settings I should apply to get toast to just accept my video and burn it to the DVD.

thanks

If toast 9 improves on the situation I will go out and buy it. But if i end up with the same bad encodes, then it's a waste of money!

I am putting in divx files and getting it to transcode into mpeg2 dvd format automatically.

there is only a sliding scale, I stick it to max and it comes out awful, I have read of many other reviews and complaints of the transcoding ability of toast. So I want to know the settings for HD Discs so I can transcode my files into the correct format and then just let toast load them onto a disc.
