Skype calls disconnects on OS X 10.5.5

Me and several friends at work who have new MacBook Pros noticed that Skype calls abruptly disconnect within 5-10 minutes. This happens both on Skype-Skype and SkypeOut calls. This is not network related - it happens at work and at home, even with wired network connection.

I wonder if other users have noticed that as well. Skype worked very well until a month ago and now we have this issue. May be related to an OS X update?

I was able to test Skype yesterday. I had absolutely no problems with it.

At last!
I have the same problem - good to know someone is sharing my pain!

Regardless of network, SkypeOut or Skype to Skype - no conversation lasts longer than 15 minutes without dropping.

ichat works fine - downloads continue without interruption, Skype calls just drop.

Anyone else feeling the pain?

I just upgraded to 10.5.5 and have started to experience this, too. I've also reported a bug on Skype. Not heard a thing yet.

I have been experiencing the same problem for the past couple of weeks. I used Skype for video chats relatively problem-free for over a year before this. The video chat usually cuts out within 10 minutes of starting a call.

So, I went into Date & Time in System Preferences, and disabled "set date & time automatically" and had my girlfriend do the same. With no other changes whatsoever we are right now almost 2 hours into a call, for the first time in weeks!

Hi all
I am experiencing the issue of the drop calls, Skype was reinstall as suggested in the Skype forum and also I try to disable the NTP as suggested in the Skype Forum but I still to get my calls drop after few minutes 2-3.

Did someone come with an other solution?
