Macbook Pro Capture Card

Hi everyone. I am trying to learn as much as I can about this and so far I have not had much luck.

I own an Xbox 360 and a Macbook Pro. So I would like to capture the video from my xbox and put it on my laptop. I really have no idea what product is good, and I don't want to go out there knowing nothing and have some stupid person at Best Buy tell me to buy the wrong product (no offense to anyone that works at best buy, but you know what I mean). I am not going to be picky about the resolution but then again I have no idea what there is to choose from. Also, does it change the framrate on the TV so that your game "lags." So if anyone knows of any product that would work, please inform me! Or if you have any info or a link to a site with some info, I would be more than happy to read up about it.

Thanks

Macbook Pro 17" 2.6 250gb 4gb RAM, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

Welcome to Apple Discussions!

Many games are copy-protected, so such capture would not be legal. Be careful about what you choose to do this, and make sure you are within your rights to do so. http://www.elgato.com/ makes a line of video capture devices to take stadard coax signal and convert it to something usable for Mac friendly video files. Might want to research their devices and see if one fits your needs.
