Best Case for the 3G??

Hey guys
I been reading lots about the cases for the Iphone 3G
Chrome protection is what im wondering about

My current 3G has some bad scratches on it from the Griffin Hard Case that clips in 2 pieces to it.
There has to be a case out there that protects the chrome plus not scratching it when you put it on.

Whats everyone's opinion about a good case with Chrome Protection?

Just chiming in . . . Just for fun I have been trying out a lot of cases. The Vaja flip is made great, but I guess a flip style is not for me. The Switcheasy Neo is great for protection and looks super. The Rebel is protective but a little challenging for me to put on without disturbing my screen protector.

The Griffen Wave is close to perfect and feels great in the hand, but the upper left corner just does not fit as good as I would like (tried 3 of them)

So, I agree with a previous post. The best fit and also the slimmest I have seen is the Innocase from Seidio. It is an amazing fit and REALLY thin! I liked it so much I bought two of different colors to create a two-tone. It has a really nice "semi-soft" outside feel. Easy on and off too.

In cases I need extra dust protection I will change to a silicone that covers the controls like the Switcheasy Color.

thats a great carrying case, but how is it at protecting ur 3G from scratches?

Check out the pictures. It completely covers the front, back, and sides except for the screen. Use a screen protector for the screen.
There is an opening on the back so you can see the apple logo as well as openings for the headset jack and buttons, but they recessed enough so that it's protected.
The material is a firm plastic with nice texture. The fit is spot on and I love it.

Why do you need a case or holster to hide the beauty of the 3G? Its almost defeating the purpose of buying one of the top of da line phones, is it not? Why hide, if you need a protector, zagg is alot better and offers lifetime replacement warranty! 🙂

I tried Zagg, I didn't like it at all.

I love my switcheasy rebel. It is the best of both worlds. It is similar to a silione but not. It doesn't get stuck in your pocket but is also has a hard plastic spine that goes over it. It fits perfectly and doesn't scratch the metal edges of my phone. It also comes with tons of goodies....a stand to watch movies, a plug to go in the connector end to help keep lint out, screen protectors, cleaning cloths, etc. It is also a great price....$29.99 from switcheasy.com. I ordered mine on a tuesday and got it by that friday!

will what didnt you like about it? installation, overall look, service? just wanting to know.

I loved the idea of it, and even the quality of the material. I wouldn't recommend against it. I would recommend people try it. But at the price it's an expensive thin to try.
But in my case I found it very difficult to install. It was difficult to get it lined up perfectly. Frustrating.
The texture, it has a sticky texture and it wasn't smooth at all. It gave it sort of an ugly look with a somewhat rippled plastic texture.
Maybe I installed it wrong or did a bad job. But at the price I'm not going to buy another just to try it again.

Hi Zulu,
I have your shield and the front is excellent but the back....hmmmmm. Installation is a real pain. I tried 6 times to install it and it looked awful.
The precut's on it are not too good really. i lined up the camera hole first and found that near to the volume and silent button it would not fit properly.
Any advice on getting a spot on fit?
Cheers
