There is no player app on the Touch to play the videos, no Flash player, etc. You want to watch You Tube videos you'll need to use your computer.
you said there is no player in our touch 1g? but how come i can watch videos on youtube through my ipod 1G? but the buffeting time ***..
Because you download the videos to your iPod. If you download them from your computer to the Touch as a video then you can watch them, but not online through Safari. They also will have to be converted to the compatible format such as mp4 videos (or you can let iTunes convert them before you sync them to your Touch's videos library.
Or you use the YouTube Application on the Touch, search for the video, and play it on the Touch.
deggie,
You beat me to making the comment to Kappy. I wasn't sure what he was talking about, but since I only have a 2nd generation touch, was the YouTube Application a recent addition to the touch?

I've slept since then, but I believe it was one of the 5 applications that you purchased. But I could be wrong.
Yep. The stand-alone YouTube application came with firmware +"1.1.3 (with January Update)"+ so may not be present on some early 1st Gen iPod touch.
If the OP has a /A model +iPod touch+ and hasn't paid for any update then upgrading to 2.1 for £5.99 will bring them the YouTube application.

im here again, sorry for the late reply.
I did not download any video from youtube thru my computer and sync it in my touch.
I just simply use the youtube icon on my touch then voila! I can watch any video from youtube except for the videos in featured and most viewed which you can see when you enter in the youtube icon.

What? If you have WiFi, you're golden. You have a YouTube app.
sigh. The YouTube app has BEEN on the iPod Touch. The only five apps you paid for with that update were Mail, Maps, Notes, Mail, and Stocks.
