Roxio Toast 9 or Toast 8?

Hello All,

Im interested in purchasing Roxio's Toast application but i have read mixed reviews over the new version 9. Does anybody have any advice or more information.

I have to admit I haven't bought 9 - I saw no value added to the new version and Toast 8 is working just fine for me.

I upgraded to Toast 9 Titanium and find it faster than 8 but no major improvements. The upgrade was cheap enough.

It is if you live in the US. In the UK the upgrade costs £54.99 ($94.90). I think we Brits are being ripped off again.

Have bought the Toast Titanium 9 and have to say that there's something strange with this softeare. It fails to burn DVD:s. I've tried to copy a DVD movie I myself created on iMovie/iDVD, but got an error message "Interface Error:-32030, The Connection is not stable", or the system crashes and I need to restart the computer. These both occur after the copy process is done and when the burning session starts, at the point when the lead in has been written. It may be a bug in the Toast 9 or Max OS ? However I would not suggest to to upgrade before this problem is cleared.
