Graphics glitches occurring with the GeForce 9400M?

Has anyone seen the same type of graphics glitches occurring with the GeForce 9400M in the new MacBooks that occurred in the MacBook Pros with GeForce 8600M GT?

The link to that previous issue is here: http://apcmag.com/appleacknowledges_macbook_pro_graphics_glitch_offersfix.htm

When viewing web pages with both Safari and Firefox, the page gets corrupted when I scroll down with the trackpad (this does not happen when scrolling with arrow keys). Any type of animation or video on a page is also really jumpy and flashes in and out.

It sounds like this was a hardware issue with the graphics card in the last version of the MBPs. Has anyone seen this issue in their new MacBooks?

Wanted to keep this bumped since I actually hate using my laptop because of these bugs. If I scroll a page using the trackpad (I have to do a CMD-A and then deselect all) every single freaking time I use the trackpad to scroll. Seriously, this is bullsh1t.

Apple, I have been a loyal user for 15 years, with 8 laptops, 3 imacs, and 3 power macs. Please don't make me jump through hoops just to get a usable laptop.

PS- I think you know that loyal- but dissatisfied- users will probably not switch to Windows over one crappy piece of hardware. Maybe that's the problem...

I want to bump this thread because we have the same problem with late 2008 MacBook. Screen gets all distorded and flickers when scrolling with the trackpad.

Local "Service Provider" (as they say here at Apple's website) ran some tests and concluded that there is nothing wrong with the machine although screen gets all distorted etc. It's a feature, he said. Which kinda ***** in a big way.

Common catch phrase is "it's a software problem, we can't do anything". Nobody is responsible and does nothing but the MacBook stays almost unusable. Hopefully Apple will prove me wrong.

The 1st Macbook I got was the 2.0Ghz model, I had problems with the Battery, the computer waking up from sleep, not recognizing the 4GB RAM installed, was not stable with my apple 20" Display, also had MAJOR problems with Graphic glitches and DVDs would jamming.

That was only after a week, so I took it back to the apple store and received a replacement.

Replacement macbook I got had issues with slanted keys, still had RAM issues, more graphic glitches, still had the monitor problem and computer would crash on the use of any flash video, final cut pro 5/quicktime pro.
Apple had a firmware update for the graphic issues and I started having more problems and now the 20" display wouldn't come on at all.

At this point I drive back to the apple store and tell them I'm still having problems and the same manager that was unkindly to me the first time told me, He sells hundreds of apple computers and NEVER seen or heard of those problems and they must be self caused, he made me feel like a huge *** in the front of other customers.
At what point I showed them the Video/Picture documentary of some of the problems I was having, at what point they replaced it.
I paid extra again for a better computer, I got the 2.4ghz macbook this time hoping and praying not to have the same problems.

Not even after 24 hours I started to have major problems AGAIN, this time the computer didn't want to boot-up at all, kernel panics.
I could NOT boot-up, start in safe mode, access single user mode or open firmware, BUT I COULD boot-up an external HD.
Been battling graphic glitches, computer erasing drives installed, by crashing and I lose all data on the disk, that has lead to 2 contract refunds $2200 total, I know that's not really your fault, it's the hardware's fault, but that's why we pay extra for Apple, too not have these issues.
Been using the computer by the external drive for a week now, I need to get back to work and catch up on some lost time due to the computer issues, to say the least that has not happened at all.

Have made all my cases with Tech support Tier 1 & 2 and have yet to find a solution for my issues, besides paying extra again for a even better computer, is that right??
I also have picture's, video's and everything is very very well documented.
Everything has been tested with Apple Hardware Test, TechTool Pro, DiskWarrior 4 and all checked out, had bought these from the apple store..

Ended up just getting an imac, the only issue is I can't burn a DL DVD..

Here's a few Video's, I have tons to upload still..lol

Update: It has stayed mostly OK since Jauary. If the stripes come back I restart and they will go away for a couple of weeks. (A restart once every few days is good anyway, afaik). So not a major prob anymore, though i hope they'll fix this in a firmware update or something. (I normally use the MacBook with battery in bed and with the adapter on during daytime, so the battery gets used regularly to stay in shape).

The horizontal lines appeared again today. Once while browsing in Safari the other during a screen-saver.

Apple had me do a Hardware Test from the install disc and it passed.

Then they ran me through a PRAM reset.

PRAM Support Article: HT1895
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1895?viewlocale=en_US

They said it is possible that the screen resolution was somehow, incorrectly set.
Now I'm to wait and observe.

I thought it was interesting to see a check box for "horizontal line(s)" while filling out the support form. I've also found several such issues dating back to 2003 on this site.

Maybe it will just take time to wring out a video driver issue?

Just want to say, I'm a first time Apple customer and really appreciate the Unibody Macbook the OS X and the way customer support has addressed my issue's. The problems aren't hindering my work (yet) and I really hope Apple can fix this and the no-wake-up issue I've had before it does.

Oh yeah, I took pictures but Apple hasn't setup a way to receive the image's via email.
