iPhone now vibrating twice for unread text messages?

I have an iPhone 3G, and recently it began vibrating every 15 minutes or so if i don't read my text message that i received quickly enough. This just started happening, and I was wondering if there was a way to stop this. Thank you!

Hello,

I've checked all the settings options, and the option to disable the multiple alerts is not present at this time.

I'd suggest submitting an "Enhancement Request" via: www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
All feedback sent directly from there is read carefully and can be instrumental in getting changes or new features incorporated into future updates.

This is truly a humorous post. Here's why:

When the iPhone was first released, there were any number of self important, can't be bothered to check to see if the iPhone recieved a message when I wasn't looking, I want it to make a noise more than once so I don't have to look at the phone to see if I got a message individuals who were very vocal about adding functionality like this.

Seems it was added, and now folks want it to go away. Don't get me wrong, I would prefer it to be an option not a mandate as well. If I didn't pick up the message, I likely had a really good reason that is not likely to have gone away in five minutes. But still, this was a user suggestion and now everyone has to live with it for now. Funny stuff. 😉
