BPM counter off from recorded audio with PDC set to "ALL"
I have a song that has PDC set to "All", like I always do when mixing. But on this song, the audio is playing a good 8th beat later than the BPM counter and bars display. Zooming in, the graphic representation does not show what is being heard either.
And automating is a nightmare, because I tend to use visuals from the waveforms to dial in specific automation for, say, a lead vocal, and now when I duck a breath, for instance, the automation is OFF from where that breath actually occurs. I have to move the volume automation AFTER where it's actually supposed to go on the timeline.
The MIDI track that I used for a click track, as well as Logic's built in Klopfgeist, are locking together, even though they too are off from what the bars and beats are reading.
I should note, this definitely appears to be PDC related, because setting PDC to "Off" or "Audio Tracks & Instruments" makes the bars/beats read correctly with the recorded audio.
As a test, I opened an older version of the song where this was not happening, and copied the audio configuration from the mix session to this version, and the problem showed up again. So if it's a corrupt file, it it somehow getting copied over with the plug-ins, or something within the audio configuration... I'm just stumped though...
This is not happening, nor has it ever happened before, on any other songs.
Yes, there are plug-ins on the Aux tracks, but I do that all the time, and this has never happened. No new plug-ins are being used, and no unusual routings are occurring... Nothings changed.
Any ideas?
