Just today, after having my shuffle for about 6 months, I can hear out of the right earbud but the left one doesn't work. Sound comes out of it once in a while so it goes on and off. Believe me it's not the headphones because I've tried several headphones and it's the same problem. Even with my speakers, the right speaker works but not the left one. Sometimes it works if i don't touch the iPod but that kinda stinks. It is fully charged too. If anyone has the same problem or has an answer to it please post.

the mini had that problem when it launched just go to a local apple store and let them look at it or where ever you got it isn't a major thing just a bad audio port.
Try pulling out the connector of the headphones out just a tiny bit.
I have the same problem. Worked fine, then suddenly....1 ear works. The problem switches occasionally from the left to the right, and if i set the connection loose enough, sound plays muffled on both ear buds. Problem is that I live nowhere near an apple store.... any suggestions? I brought the shuffle around 2 months ago at best buy......
take it to best buy and let them look at it but have it only working in one ear when you takr it or they won't take it back if you can still get sound in both headphones.
I think I have found out what's wrong with the headphones. (I know this might sound a little disgusting) I think the sound is blocked by earwax. I discovered that you can still hear the sound if you turn the headphone around. I will see if I can clean them somehow.
Edit: Wohoo! It works! Soap and water=Working Apple In-ear headphones! God, why didn't I think about this before? (They have been "broken" in over a month now)
