Mini Display Port to DVI 23" Cinema Display

I have a 23" Cinema Display hooked up to my new MacBook Pro via Mini Display Port. After the MacBook Pro turns off the Cinema Display and I wake it up, the display is scrambled and flashes in and out. I have to remove the Mini Display Port adapter and reinsert the adapter to fix the issue. I have used the Cinema Display with my White MacBook without problems for 9 months. I am assuming the is a driver issue or bad adapter. Any Ideas?

i've used both apple MiniDisplayPort to: DVI and VGA adapters at the apple store, and its the same issue as the monoprice adapters:

VGA: it works at 1920x1200
DVI: doesn't work at 1920x1200 (only at 800x600@75Hz).

I'm not denying that you're having an issue with the adapters and your display. But there must be other dell 2408 owners who have used this lcd with their new unibody mbp's with no problems, or they'd be all over the forums. Over at the macrumors forum, I've been talking with people who have this exact monitor and laptops config that use the mdp-dvi adapter without issues. I'm just worried as I have the exact same laptop and an unopened dell 2408 that I am going to hook up tomorrow. I hope I don't run into the same issue.

Forgive me, I didn't read through the entire thread to see if anyone else has brought this up, but I thought I'd share my experience so far...

I'm seeing the dancing/flickering pixels under OS X, but have found that my external display works just fine under Windows XP. Seems to indicate to me that this is a software/driver issue.

Anyway, just my two cents. Has anyone else noticed this?
