Error -48 when importing CD into iTunes

Hey, I doubt anyone can answer this (even Apple) but I just bought a brand new computer (with Windows XP) and installed the latest iTunes. I then pointed iTunes to my library to import my previouse music. (which is in a NAS) All is rosy. I purchased a new CD today and when I import it it gets through one, maybe two songs then generates: "Unknown Error -48 when translating song" and won't complete. I reload the CD, sometimes I get two, sometimes none. Different CD's create the same effect!

If I import to a fold w/ WMP and then import the folder, no issues. So what's the setting that I'm missing?

Thanks in advance!

My problem was fixed by turning off my external hard drive for a few seconds and then turning it on again. My music library is stored on a WD 500G external drive connected driectly to a Linksys Wireless- N Gigabit Router With Storage Link. Evidently, it was shutting down access to iTunes when importing songs from a CD. iTunes would import one song before producing error 48.
