Can't delete folder in USB drive..

Hello,

I copied a locked folder that contain my PGP keys to a USB drive that is connected to my Airport and has 2 partitions. one for TM and one things I don't want to carry on my laptop.
Rearranging the setup, I copied a locked folder from my HD to the USB drive. now trying to delete it, trash gives the message "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items" looking at the folders info. it shows the access like this: under name there are 2 (unknown) with read & write access and there is one named everyone also with read & write access.
Macbook 13'3 , 2.16 pentium , 2G's RAM Mac OS-X ver 10.5.5
Any ideas?

Thanks

How did you trash it? Did you trash it directly from the USB drive or did you first move it onto your internal HD?

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I tried both ways. it will let me copy it to the HD but not move it. I should also have said, the contents of the folder are gone or deleted. all that is left is the folder. and when I look at its info. there is no check mark on the "lock" box but the folder has the icon on it. at least when I first go into that partition to look at it. and than it disappears, the lock icon on the folder that is.
Another thing I should mention.. when trying to add access say to myself. I get the option to enter a user or group name. I tried my short name in different formats. and I get the msg that is an invalid name.

Thanks again.

Ok, I got it.. don't know the why? of it but it worked.
I connected the USB drive directly to the laptop, looked at the access rules and they had changed as if the folder was in my HD with myself on the list of users..so I deleted it. than I copied the folder again to the USB drive while connected to the laptop. and the access rules look again like if it was in my HD. I reconected to the Airport USB port and the access rules had changed to how the first folder had them. not specifying "Me" in the list. but I was able to delete it. than I copied it again still connected to the Airport and again it wont delete.
Just playing with the OS trying to learn it or the why of things. and truly still don't get it. but it worked.

Thanks.
