Would a Digidesign 888/24 A/D converter work with Logic Pro 8? I know those things are pretty old, but there's a studio that I have access to for free with a really nice control room for mixing and I'd love to mix my Logic projects in there.

anyone?
Hi Dutch Sailor,
Maybe you should ask digidesign themselves, if they make Leopard compatible drivers for it. Otherwise you have to keep bumping until another user of the same convertor (if there are any) feels like replying.
regards, Erik.

no. there are no drivers for OS X for the 888.
Hi Zeeman,
The Digidesign 888/24 does work in standalone mode, so yes, you can use them.
Cheers.

You can unofficially use the 888|24 w/Mix Core Card with logic 8 in OS X 10.4.11 on a G4 PowerPC Mac using Digi CoreAudio Manager v6.9.2. This just gives you a glorified 8 in/8 out audio interface... NO TDM features. Latency/buffer problems abound, especially on anything lower than a DP 1.42 G4. Far from the best configuration, but it can work.
