White shades of screen turns a strange blue colour...

This is strange... My Macbook (new as of a month and a bit ago) will suddenly have a sort of screen colour change, with all of the pure white shades of my screen going a very bright shade of blue. The blue comes out in everything.... my background pic, screensaver, basic internet windows... anything. But it goes in and out.

It first happened a few weeks ago, and lasted almost an entire day before suddenly just flipping back into normal colours. It happened again tonight for a couple hours, but has again flicked back to normal.

Any suggestions? User uploaded file

I started to get that blue shade today and it already happened twice!! What's weird was that it turned back to normal when I move the monitor back and forth. Similar thing happened to my 5yr-old labtop with a big crack at the back of the monitor. Everything turn blue on that labtop but on my Mac, only white screens turn blue. This is freaking me out because I only had this mac for 3 months!!!

I too have experienced this issue, usually when waking from sleep mode. The problem is quickly corrected by accessing the Displays preferences pane, at which point the colors return to normal.

It seems to be a problem with the gamma settings in the color profile. The display appears to "forget" the native gamma setting.
