Using ipod touch through ipod ready jvc car stereo with jvc adaptor

I have the new apple itouch 32gb, i connected it to my ipod ready car stereo using my adaptor it recognises the accessory is attached and just keeps searching for it using a file check but nothing happens, doesn't even come up saying error.

Has anyone had problems using there ipod in car? Therefore maybe can give a few answers on why it may not be working?

I recently purchased the 2nd generation iPod Touch. I have a JVC KD-HDR1 head unit and tried integrating the iPod with the JVC KS-PD100 adapter that JVC recommended for using an iPod with the unit. This is my first iPod and therefore have not tried using this adapter for using an iPod. I also have the same problem as you. The head unit display flashes "Checking," the iPod then gives an error saying the accessory connected does not allow charging, and then the iPod displays "Accessory Connected." Have you figured anything out yet? I have also contacted JVC to listen to their suggestions, but no answer yet.

Same here, so happy to get rid of the FM transmitter after I bought and installed the KS-PD100...Guess what; looks like I'm just going to upgrade my transmitter since this useless piece of cable will not cut it for me. I'm going to send an email to Apple and if everybody does the same thing then maybe they will come up with a patch...Let me know if anybody finds a work-around.

I had the JVC radio with iPod connector which worked just fine for my old iPod. When I upgraded to the iTouch I had to put in a new JVC stereo. The old version does not work with the iTouch (the same issues prev. stated). The new stereo has an USB hookup on the front. It plays the iTouch, but occas. the song or book will skip. At first I thought it was when I turned corners, but realized it was just random. A bit annoying. I looked at other stereos, but I could not get the iTouch and Sirus in the same unit, except for the JVC. If you can live without your iTouch I would wait until JVC or Apple address this issue. I could not live without either (I hate commercials!), so I made the jump to the first generation. I know better.
