impossible to empty the basket

impossible to empty the basket

Hello,

Don't remember exactly the key to push while clicking "Empty" from basket.

Tried several keys from keyboard, such as "Alt" at the same time, but it's still full !
Any idea ?

Jean, I do have the same file in my basket but using the 'Option' or 'Command' key with 'Empty Basket' cleared it.

How did you finally get rid of the file? Thanks!

Hold the "Control" key down when clicking on the Trash basket. Select "Empty Trash."

It is the option key. Hold it down while you click "Empty Trash" if you are trying to force delete something.

Thanks for response, but, NO way !

I did it before already, but...
Trying several things, i opened the basket, and there is only one file, with "unreadable" text under it.

I clicked "Read" and...the file vanished ! Simple as that 🙂

This is what you should see when using the Control key. Using the Option key does the same, only it deletes "locked" files.

Thanks Mac Medic,

It's what i do normally.
But, the file is still there.
When i open the basket, there is only one file (see following line)

<
/Volumes/MS_32 GO/.Trashes/501/␀␀␀õ␀␀.␀␀

When i ask to "Read information" the file vanished.

But, when i click the basket, the file is still there ?

This volume is a partition (32GB as FAT32) i made for to copy files for Windows compatibility.
Unfortunately, when i open the 32GB partition, i cannot find a Trash file (as i find into memory sticks).

I'm afraid i have to reformat the 32GB as a FAT32 the have a clean partition, no ?
