Is it possible to block a particular wi-fi network on the iPhone 3G?

Is it possible to block a particular wi-fi network on the iPhone 3G? We don't have a wi-fi network where I work, so I connect over 3G. Problem is, another company on the floor below us does have a wi-fi network which keeps popping up in my "Choose a wireless network" list. I don't have access to their network, so I'd like to put that on a blocked list of sorts so that I don't see it pop up every time I try to open the App Store, Safari or my mail.

Any suggestions?

Well, knowing my uber-short term memory, I'd forget to turn it back on when I left work and it wouldn't join up when I got home. And it's a bit of a pain to turn it off in the morning and back on again later in the evening. Plus I've got a charging dock at work that I drop it into when I arrive in the morning. I'm just thinking it would be really nice to have that option to disregard a particular wi-fi network.

I've seen no option to block, but there is a Forget This Network option for an available network, but this will not permanently remove the network or prevent the network from appearing as an available network to select.

The best option is to turn off ask to join networks. This requires selecting an available wi-fi network that you have not previously connected to in order to join the network.

I guess turning off the "Ask to Join Networks" option is the easiest, although it sorta ***** having to disable a feature on the phone that would have uses elsewhere (i.e. sometimes you get to a place that has wi-fi that you wouldn't normally expect to - with the option turned off, you'll never know it). It'd be awesome to have some sort of config file that you could put "Network X" on a Do Not Join list, though...

How about just turning off wifi. You can save battery as well.

or you can go into settings-> wi-fi-> Ask to join networks->OFF.

this will disable the popup to ask to join that network.

You can also go into settings>wifi, and when it pulls up the available networks, click on the one you want to block. There's an option to block/delete that network.
