audio players for Iweb

I have a music website with IWEB. Most visitors don't have quicktime (ala PC users). Are there any other audio players that are more universal that are also compatible that I could use ?
Also is there no way to get rid of that graphic box when you drag and drop an audio file onto a page aside from hiding it ? Thanx

Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Drag your MP3 audio file onto the iWeb page but don't put an image in the place holder. On the published site it will just show the QT control bar.
Or do this ...

The reason I converted all my audio files to play in flash is that more people are likely to have Adobe® Flash player installed nowadays than QuickTime - especially PC owners who are not restricted to using the corporate computer!

If you are going to load your audio for play back in QuickTime, give the link to the download and emphasize that its free!

Control click the QT icon to download it to your desktop and drag it onto your iWeb page.

Note: I will only gain financially by recommending this link if you buy something - please don't!

thanx Roddy for your suggestions. One last thing; when I downloaded adobe flash, everything seemed to go fine. It appeared on my desktop and I double clicked the icon to install. It took me through installation very quickly and yet nothing appears on my hard drive or for that matter anywhere on my computer.
Basically it did not install. Any clue before I contact Adobe ?
Thanx to old toad as well for his input.

when I download Flash the icons appear on my desktop and actually says installed successfully. I look into my internet plugin files and click flash player and surprisingly my MOTU A/D set-up dialog box comes up. How are they related ? the same thing happens if I click my QT plug in as well.
Also, I have a mobile me acct. How would I upload to my server per your directions ?
Thanx

There is no default application to open these plugins so your Mac thinks that MOTU might do!
Control click the plugin file and select "Get info". Look at "Open with:" in the info window.
To prove to yourself that Adobe Flash is working, all you have to do is play a flash file off the internet like the one on my page.

Go to Finder/Go/iDisk/My iDisk/Web/Sites. Open your website folder and create a new folder and name it something like MusicFiles.
Upload your song file(s) to this folder by drag and drop from your desktop or a Finder window.
The URL of this file will be...
