no GPS pin-point - tried 15 phones... anyone have a fix?

Okay so my GPS isnt working correctly, it wont pin-point my location. It gets to the general area i am in and then it just get stuck on the last location circle. (no blue dot).

It had worked for me for the first few months i had the phone, then suddenly nothing. So over time i kept asking people that had iphones to show me their GPS and if it worked. Nobody's worked, so i knew it wasnt just my phone.

Called apple, made appoitment with apple store genius bar. He told me to try the stores phones while he runs a diagnostics. I tried all the phones on the entire table (set never-lock on and turned maps on). EVERY SINGLE PHONE DID THE SAME THING User uploaded file

He told me he would give me a new phone but that would probably not fix it. he then proceeded to show me how i can leave feedback for apple, i started to make a fist and pictured myself giving him a Ryu uppercut.

Left the store and said F-it. week later ran into another buddy that has the phone and his worked!! so i said ill give it another try. Called apple, sent me a new phone today... doesnt work either.

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO??!!

...in the store?... GPS will never work in the store, you have to be outside with a clear view of the sky.

Like everybody else said, go out side.

You sometimes have better luck disabling wifi. My phone never progresses past the smallest circle to the blue dot unless I turn off WiFi. Some fool nearby submitted his home wifi to Skyhook, and it provides un-reliable hints to the AGPS chip.

Left to its own devices it will eventually get a good fix if it can see the sky. Such as sitting in a window or standing outdoors. But it takes forever.

3G towers are flaky as well. Edge towers seem to provide reliable hints in my area, allowing a pin drop.

Having 3G, or Edge, or Wifi turned on simply speeds up the process of obtaining a good fix, but not when the information supplied by Skyhook is un-reliable.
