Finder - Connect to server - rename favorites

Does anyone know how to rename the items that appear in your Favorites in the Connect to Server dialog?

I've tried renaming the aliases in the User/Library/Favorites folder but the changes don't appear in the list.

Those items contain the address of the server, with the specific name coming from the server. They don't really have anything to do with your Favorites folder, which is just a place you can put your own favorite items into. Not really sure where (or how) the Finder stores them; Spotlight doesn't come up with anything.

Interestingly, if you add or remove items in the Connect... window as favorites they actually appear in the favorites folder, so there is some connection there however haphazard!! But renaming those favorites does not reflect back to the Connect... window.

You know, when I looked before, there wasn't a favorite added, but sure enough, one is put in there - maybe the Finder just didn't update fast enough. I have to say though, that is the first time in a long while that I've seen anything placed in the Favorites folder (well, except for what I put in there - I keep an alias on the dock). It still looks like it just gets the server location for use in the dialog.
