iphone calendar off by 1 hour after daylight savings

Found a fix:
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
Scroll down to the bottom, there is a option called "Time Zone Support". Change the time zone from a GMT +- setting to your actual city.
View Calendar and observe that the meeting times are now correct.
This worked for me.

I use iCal to track my appointments. After the fall-back, my appointments are still the same on the computer, but are one-hour later on the iPhone. The phone shows the correct time and date. I have tried restarting the phone, deleting the calendar from the sync, and even creating a new calendar to send to the phone. The iPhone still thinks all appointments are an hour later. Any solutions would be appreciated.

I have been experiencing this same problem. My iPhone syncs with the company Exchange server.
I thought my issue was being caused by my being in the Central Time Zone US when the 'fall-back' occurred, but it seems unlikely now that I see others are experiencing the exact same 1-hour-off-meetings schedule as well.

I don't physically sync my iPhone for calendar, events, email. It's all through Exchange. I do sync for iTunes music and photos (Google's Picasa).

Found this on another site - it worked for me

Go to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> scroll right down to the bottom, there is a option called Time Zone Support. Have you tried setting this to the correct time zone? For some reason this is not linked to your current date&time settings.

I went to Settings, Mail/Contacts/Calendars, All the way at the bottom is a selection for Time Zone Support, it was still listed as GMT-4 which would be correct for DST. I turned Time Zone Support off and then back on again and it changed to Washington, DC (GMT-5). All of the items on my Calendar were then correct.

I also had success using this method, from above:

On iPhone, go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Scroll way down to Time Zone Support. Note that it's listed as GMT-4. Turn slide button to OFF, then back to ON. Note that it automatically goes to Washington, DC (GMT-5).

Calendar appointment times now correct.

Time on the iPhone updated automatically for daylight savings, but the Time Zone Support function didn't make the one-hour shift; they ended up out by an hour from one another. Forcing Time Zone Support to refresh its settings was all that was needed.

But the really baffling thing is, why the **** doesn't the iPhone just use the current time as provided by the mobile network. The phone already has a built in clock. It would be best to just use that clock.

As it is now, not only is the extra-configuration annoying, it is also buggy.

Even worse, if I visit another time-zone, it should list everything in respect to the local time. Newly created contacts should always be created in the local time. Granted, there is complication in scheduling across time zones.

Thanks, I was having the same issue. By turning on the TimeZone support on iCal I could see that the iPhone was posting at GMT+4 but couldn't figure out why. The phone overall (in Settings - General - Date & Time was set to auto).

I'm glad it has worked for everyone, but I'm still getting issues. I'm using the Nuevasync (using exchange server) to sync to the iCal on my phone. It looks like it's taking random events and shifting them back an hour. The thing is that I live in Arizona and we don't do daylight savings.

I don't know how to fix the problem because it only does it to about half of my events. And I know the problem isn't with Google because their calendar has all the right times.

I tried making all the changes mentioned above, but those events stay put. Don't know what to do.

ok I have been reading all the threads on how to fix this issue and am STILL completely baffled!! I love in Phoenix and we dont use daylight savings time however all my calendar events have shifted to 1 hour later starting November 1st. I have messed around with the time one settings and nothing seems to work. I am sure that I am missing something... Anyone have any suggestions?? Please?

Did you shut the phone off and turn it back on?

I'm using Entourage 2008 and have the same exact symptoms. It appears to be a confirmed issue with Apple and they are working on a fix right now.

Correct that.....I thought they said it was a confirmed issue, but now I'm not getting that.

Do you have Time Zone Support turned on on both the iPhone and in iCal? Set to the same (correct) time zones?

I use iCal, and have no issues following the time change.

hi there. where are you going to the settings tab??? in entourage? i dont have a settings selection in entourage that i know of. glad this works if i can figure it out. its driving me crazy.
