Camera RAW Support 2.3 is available in Software Updates

It has been mentioned, but not in a separate post. It adds support for the:

Nikon D90
Canon 50D
Sony A900
Nikon CoolPix P6000

Jack -- the OS (and Aperture) does not support any sRAW files.

- Does Image Capture app work? or iPhoto?
- Nikon images captured straight off camera not showing thumbnails is a preexisting problem, so that isn't new to DCRCU 2.3, though capturing from a card reader hasn't been a problem before

they haven't done it for the 40D, 1DsM3, 1DM3 or 50D ... do you really think they are gonna start now ???

Unfortunately it hasn't fixed the issue with some Nikon D2X NEF files displaying the "Unsupported Image Format" message. It's better than it was - previously about a third of my older files wouldn't work, now I'm down to perhaps one in twenty - but the problem is still there.

Clem,

Image Capture and iPhoto both work, I just checked.

Here's all what else I've tried:

Migrated all the old images (should affect anything really, but had to do it anyway)
Rebuilt databases and repaired permissions.

What next?

Thankfully the RAW files from my D90 now show in Aperture but the jpg's captured at the same time do not. They both show in iphoto ok? Camera can capture both types at the same time.

When both the RAW and JPEG are download into Aperture, the only evidence you ever see of the JPEG is by control-clicking on an image and see if New Version from JPEG Master is offered. If it is, the JPEG is there as an otherwise hidden master.

OK thanks that clears that up.

New problem, none of any images are previewed in the 'import' vane so I can only import them all and view them in the main body. All I get is empty 'stamps'.?

Anyone know if this fixes the problem with importing RAW+JPEG captures from Canon 350 (xsi)? I'd hate to download this update and then have to un-do it (again).

RE: Preview not displaying in Import Window = Are you using a direct connect camera? I recall this issue being posted prior.

This issue has been posted about before. Relates to how the camera is seen when connected directly. To my knowledge the issue only occurs with direct connection, and not when using a card reader.
