3RVC codec??

What do i need to download to view this video in quicktime?

I am unable to find any codec, player or converter for Macs for 3rvc. Apparently you've already tried Perian and VLC Media Player without luck. So you may have to find a Windows system on which to view that video.

Apparently that's a proprietary codec and hard to find, even for Windows. There appears to be a download of a Windows version here:

http://www.3rtechnologies.com/DVR%20Program/DVRCodec.exe

but I have no way of verifying that's the correct codec. Note that clicking the above link will download an EXE file, so proceed with caution.

Noooooooo don't drive me back to the dark side!!

I use Windows in my day job and media player, VLC, real audio etc wouldnt play it either.
