Hi. Just started using Time Machine today. I performed the original back up, then I went and opened Time Machine. It brought me to a finder window of my Mac. I was just playing around to see how it worked. I went to the photo folder and tried to double click the iPhoto library and it just brought up a screen that showed the iPhoto logo with 4.5 gb listed, it did not bring up the individual photo files. Is this correct? Please help me understand what this means.
Thanks
Steve

To use Time Machine with iPhoto, you should be opening iPhoto and then clicking on the Time Machine icon on the Dock. You will then see the TM interface with a timeline of the past states of iPhoto. Likely Mac OS isn't displaying the contents so you don't tamper with them. If you really want to see the contents, right click on the iPhoto logo and click Show Package Contents. You don't need to do this, though.
