Sony EX1 Movie Clips

You need to run a Google search and download the PDZK-P1 Transfer Application from Sony. Use this app to create your Quicktime files ... assuming that you've copied the complete file structure from the cards.

And just FYI if the OP didnt copy the complete BPAV structure down from the cards, I think the latest version of the Clip Browser from Sony may be able to repair the structure...I seems to remember postings to this effect. Can anyone confirm?

hello ! So when you record youdata SXS on your HD.... In FCP import them whit: "import XDCAM..." so the XDCAM Transfer plugin open and you can work !!!!
You can see all these operation on the website Sonybizz.com and download plugin !!!
I recommand the "XDCAM EX Clip Browser" from Sony's website for the transfer of the SXS on HD,just because you can see them and be sure that they are good !!!

On the SxS card the EX camera creates a BPAV folder and that is what you should copy to your storage inside a separate folder of it's own calling it Card #1 or something from the job. You must do this for every card keeping the BPAV folder separate from any other BPAV folder. Then you can open the XD Cam Transfer program and re-wrap files as Quicktime .mov to another folder to work in FCP.
