Failure code:4SNS/1/40000001: TB1T-0.000

This is my first Mac, Its just perfect, i have no problems with it, but when i randomly run the Apple hardware test, it come up with this: Failure code: 4SNS/1/40000001: TB1T-0.000

can somebody help me with that?

Hi Luke!

thx for looking that up for me, anyway i read that post already, but it doesnt really help me, is it really something to do with the external display? yesterday i use mini disp port to vga and connected it to sony LCD TV, and its working perfectly fine..well...its all been good to me though, i didnt expect this to lead to something else..thats why i am still looking for some more answers..did anybody else have that failure code?

Hi there. I've bought an Aluminium Macbook (is my fist mac) the last monday and yesterday when i did the hardware test it gave it to me the same error. The mac seems fine, it runs with no trouble but i'm worry if that can be dangerous in the future. I had some troubles installing Windos XP via bootcamp, i'm guessing if it is related.

Does anyone know the error? What it means?

Welcome to Apple Discussions!

The "SNS" stands for "sensor", and the error code indicates a possible problem with a thermal sensor. Did you run the extended version of the Apple Hardware Test? Sometimes you will get this error if you run the quick version, and it may be something of a false positive. See if you also get it when you run the extended version.

Are your fans idling normally or running all out? If the latter, I would be more inclined to believe a problem with the sensor.

I think the best option for you would be to not ignore the error code and take it back to Apple for repair or replacement.

It is not a good idea to ignore hardware errors.

i have also that problem. but it was easy to fix it. its was the sensor of your battery.. Your haven't put your battery in your macbook.
