New MacBook Pro and MOTU Ultralite Mk.3

I've just ordered a new MacBook Pro, and have been using a Presonus FireStudio Project, but have had problems with the drivers, and so am about to return it. Is anyone using a new MacBook Pro (late 2008) with a MOTU Ultralite Mk.3? I'm curious as to how stable the drivers are, and how good the connection is via the FireWire 800 to 400 cable adaptor... Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

From MOTU website:

+All MOTU FireWire audio interfaces are fully compatible with the new FireWire-equipped MacBook Pro. All you need is a standard FireWire 400-to-800 cable. Just plug in and go. The FireWire bus operates at 400 Mb/sec, providing the same high speed, low latency and rock solid reliability that MOTU FireWire interfaces are known for.+

I don't see any reason why the 800 to 400 cable wouldn't work. I use several MOTU interfaces with several kind of Mac (desktop and laptop) and it's always been rock-solid.
