flickering white dots

I have also some problems with my external display (hp lp2475w)
When i'm on a black screen there white dots flickering al over the screen.
I have no problem when i connect my early 2008 mbp to the screen, so i think it's really a problem with the mini display port or the minidisplay port to dvi adapeter.

Are there other people having the same problem with the little white dots flickering al over the sceen?

mbp late 2008, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

I'm having the same issue on my new MacBook Pro 2.8 ghz on the external display only. When connecting to a DVI monitor I see the sparkling white pixels, especially noticable in dark areas. I've swapped out all cabling to monitor as well as verifying good power connections and issue persists. I've been able to verify that the issue does not occur on my 2005 PowerBook laptop's DVI out connected to the same set of cabling and monitors as current. It is a problem somewhere inside my new MBP. I've tried setting the graphics card to "better performance" and "better battery life" and the issue persists. Anybody know what this is? Any word from Apple?
