Can't purchase? There is not enough memory available. There was an error in

WHAT THE F@#K!!! It has been 48 hours now and still the same problem. I bet Rhapsody is behind this!

I sent this info to Walt Mossberg at the Wall Street Journal this morning. Maybe they can get an answer out of Apple, since iTunes is a pretty big cash cow for the company.

Lor23 gave me the temp fix I went to the All Songs By This Artist list and my purchase and download worked fine. Since there are over 8000 posts to this thread from mac and pc users and all OS I'd say Apple knows of the glitch and is trying to fix it Hang tight it wil be fixed just don't do anything rash.

Same problem as the rest. Is there a support email to contact? After 3 days of this I'm losing my patience.

I still can not purchase music, although Apple has my money. Not too many options here. I have plenty of memory on my iTune Classic (80gh) and my home pc (250gh). I will tell you this. Prior to this problem I was asking everyone for iTune gift cards for Christmas. Now, I would not take one on a bet!

I am getting the same error. I couldn't believe that I did't have enough internal memory as my ipod will hold 7500 songs. So I performed a disc defrag and a clean-up. My computer shows that I have plenty of memory(I'm only at about 26% capacity)but I am still getting the same error...

This getting beyond a joke - we're being made fools of - the problem has persisted for 4 days now, every internet forum is clogged with distressed, angry customers, yet Apple remains absolutely silent! Yet, and Apple knows this, they are able to get away with this spit in the face because of their virtual monopoly position.
I have managed to get the brilliant Turbosounds (see other Thread, Solution to the not enough memory) work-around to solve it on my computer, but it seems it only works for music, not visual content, but give it a try.

What the **** is going on?

I was having this problem on my G5 Mac. I upgraded iTunes to the latest (8.0.2) and it corrected the problem.

APPLE FIXED IT! 🙂 YAY!

It appears so, I was just able to purchase and download an album.

Yep. It's fixed for me, too.
And I'm still running the old version of iTunes.
