Can't purchase? There is not enough memory available. There was an error in

Please help us, Itunes Demigods, all we want to do is spend money. When is this going to be fixed???

Amazon has all the songs I wanted recently for the same price as Itunes...I know it won't help anyone with gift cards but it is an option till Apple gets this straight.

I'm having the same problem with the error message saying there is not enough memory. My computer has plenty of memory. I just called Apple supprot and got the rudest technical person I've ever spoken to; he would not help me because I was on a PC not a Mac. This is evidently their problem and not a problem with all our computers. They need to fix it because we are trying to purchase music. I'm running version 7 and tried to download version 8.02 and got an error that it has an invalid signature and cannot be downloaded.

Let me get this straight. Apple isn't letting us know whether or not the issue will be resolved by apple with our older software, and other people think apple will force us to either update or be unable to purchase music/tv/movies.
Those messages they sent people from customer service were very ambiguous..
Anybody know where else I can purchase the latest episodes of grey's anatomy, ugly betty, gossip girl... etc. ?
PS. to the person who recommended that other people don't go out and buy backup like I did, I'm not a DUDE, i'm a girl. Okay.

Same problem for me also. This seems to be a big one. They better get it fixed soon, people are jumping ship quick!

same thing here. tried updating itunes. tried restarting 3 times now and checking diagnostics. not working.....

I am getting the exact same message when I try to purchase a song. I have been getting it since Saturday afternoon. I have about 68 gb free, so I have plenty of space.

My ipod softwear version is 1.1.2, and my operating system is Windows XP.

I have tried restoring my ipod to its original settings but that did not help.

Before I created a profile, I was reading the posts and someone mentioned that show the songs without the graphics view and you can download. The only problem is when I get rid of the graphics view, there is no list of the songs.

Even though there is some comfort in 'misery loves company'...this is ridiculous. Do the 'powers that be' EVER pay attention to complaints? Glitches happen....but the least they could do is ADMIT THERE'S A PROBLEM.

I've bought before with no problems but have the same problem. It does allow me to buy the music that it advertises but not the ones I want. Not a clue why?

Thanks for that hint- I tried it and it does work. The problem is that some albums don't have a list of top songs to download from...Anyways, I am totally convinced that they will not be fixing anything, otherwise they would have done it by now!!! I am sure this is just a way to force people like me that have old os x versions (I have os x 10.3.9) to have to buy Leopard for $130 bucks!!! I refuse to do that. *My brothers comp(pc) downloads songs fine...So what Im doing is purchasing through his, pause the downloads, and then in my mac check for purchases and they appear on my downloads so i can put them in my mac.* Kinda complicated...but It just infuriates me to be forced to purchase something so I can "buy" songs...So thats what Im doing until I figure out what else to do. Maybe it will help someone else who cant go spend 130 bucks for Leopard right now...

Im having same prob! To tell the truth im getting a little jacked with all the probs I been having with itunes support and store, not to mention my ipod!
I been getting the ring around from them......

Unfortunately I have had to resort to amazon mp3 to get my music. Hey, at least the album I wanted was a dollar cheaper.
