Can't purchase? There is not enough memory available. There was an error in

i'm glad that it's not just me getting this message. my computer states that it has 71% of its memory left, so i knew that it wasn't my fault. I haven't tried downloading itunes 8.0 yet though. is that's what's helping everyone?

It's something on iTune's side, definitely.
I just got a $50 iTunes card and to much avail, it wouldn't work because of the "not enough memory" pop-up. I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 and all I did was upgrade iTunes to the latest version, restart my laptop at leat 10 times, and be patient.

I had this same issue and after I agreed to the new terms and conditions to the iTunes Store I was able to start downloading music again. If you're not getting the prompt to agree to the terms and conditions try uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes 8.0.2.

Had the same problem for two days. decided to download the latest version 8.0.2.20 of iTunes. Very large file. FIXED THE PROBLEM

Yup - same problem here! I've been trying to purchase for 3 days now - to no avail. This is a frustrating deal - seems also that I can't contact the "i-Tunes Gods" that be........Glad to know thatI'm not alone - sorry to all who share my frustruation! Miller 2014

I did call tech support and you aren't missing anything. Absolutely NO help, and no real idea. They could at least give you a better error message when the problem initially occurs, something along the lines of "The problem is not with your computer. We are working on a resolution as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience." so we would all know that it's their fault and not waste a bunch of time trying to figure out what is wrong.

Apple could have prevented a HUGE pr problem by posting a message right on the itunes home page that there was a problem and that they were working to resolve it, apologizing for the inconvenience at the same time. But NOOO those geniuses can't be bothered with something like that. Even reading through the thread takes some time.

I don't WANT itunes 8. To much junk I don't want on it. No telling what else is going on underneath the functions we use anyway.

GO TO THE OTHER THREAD STARTED BY A BRILLIANT MIND BY THE NAME OF "turbosound" FOR TEMP SOLUTION.

No silly version 8 download necessary with this temporary workaround.

I just got that message this morn (11/23)

I'm NOT changing my version until I have all other avenues.

I want to be the MAC on a WINDOWS commercial!!! That would give me the shot at Mac I have wanted almost since I first switched over from Windows about 20 months ago!

I had seen that post earlier and tried it and couldn't get it to work. As soon as I chose the song which I wished to purchase, the graphics came back on; when I clicked on the eye again, ti took me back to the beginning of my search, when I found the song and tried to purchase, the graphics came back on, etc., etc., etc., ad infinitum. Can you be more specific?

I had the old version 7.5.0.20? NO that is not the problem cause I just upgraded and start my computer over and it's still saying "There is not enough memory available. There was an error in the Itunes store. Please try again later." I dont get it!
