Firmware 2.2 - Apple Lossless Still Skips

Yes there was nothing about fixing this problem in the description of the Udpade.

This really is terrible news.

Has there been any official word from Apple on resolving this issue? I just don't understand how it is the old version didn't have this problem and this one does. Does Apple respond or read these forums?

Has anybody tried WAV files? I could always have fewer tracks in WAV while I wait for the problem to get fixed.

Confirmed: Apple lossless still skips with Firmware 2.2 (5G77a) on my 2G iPod Touch 32GB model MB533C.

This could be an irreparable hardware defect common to the entire 2G iPod Touch family.

All my iPods have skipped or stuttered using lossless, I find the touch is the worst. If you let the screen go off it's very bad.

I do not want to use AAC as I use high end cans with headphone amps.

Come on Apple

I'll take back my ipod to the Apple store where I bought it if this error isn't fixed in a week.

This is unbelieveable! The question is now: Is this an issue due to hardware or due to software?

Hardware: I give the touch back to apple and like to have my money back!
Software: Doesn't Apple recocnize any user response?

I'm glad I returned my device for a refund after discovering this defect some weeks ago!

I've been a huge Apple fan for years, own tons of their hardware. Still am a huge fan, want to purchase an iPod Touch, or ask for one for Christmas from my wife. Not with this problem, though! I've burned all of my music from CDs lossless into iTunes, run two Slim Devices Transporters with a Mac Mini as a music server. I'm posting just in case someone from Apple reads this stuff and realizes that this bug is costing them sales! Please fix it...

Yeah I have this problem too, but only when the screen is off. I know my reply doesn't really help to solve this, but if Apple sees that enough people are having this problem then they might go ahead and acknowledge it, and if they feel like it fix it.

-Also this does seem like a software issue, as the hardware seems to be capable of playing the audio and other audio types play properly at all times. Even if it is a hardware problem it is possible to work around many hardware problems with a software mod.
