PC remote control of digital PA devices (Behringer DCX2496)
Hello!
I have several Behringer DCX2496 digital crossovers (that splits in audio signals sending out bass signal to bass power amps, mid signals to mid power amps, high signals to high power amps) for my very big PA.
Now, these crossovers can be remotely controlled by PC software that I have downloaded from Behringer's download service.
To be able to run this PC program on my Imac I have got myself the CrossOver software (quite funny incidently also called crossover) inside which I can run Windows program.
The remote control PC software starts up just fine but it does not be able to find my connected DCX2496(s) - the DCX2496s have both RS232 (serial port) connection and RS485 (network cable) connection - I have tried to connect an RS232/USB adaptor cable from RS232 connection on DCX2496 to USB connection on my Imac as well as network connection on DCX2496 to network connection on my Imac - but nothing happens simply!
What to do? (Admittely a quite special question, but perhaps someone else out there has got this working?)
Best, palbin
