Unable to delete email

Aloha,

I am unable to delete old email from my mailbox. When I try to delete mail either by touching the trash can or selecting multiple emails then the delete button, I get a message saying "Unable to move message to trash." Help please!

i cannot in any way shape or form delete messages from my gmail or yahoo accounts... i have already deleted them from my computer... they r still in my inbox on my iphone. ive tried deleting and remaking the emial accts and switching them on and off, rebooting the phone, deleting everything in the root/private/var/mobile/library/mail folder... and they still come back. i even made sure to make the proper changes in the advanced settings menu for mail... someone please email me if you have any solutions. im running FW 2.2.1, shoud have stayed with 2.1...
