I wanted to try something special. For a few pages, and ideally the inside covers of the book, I would like to print a thumbnail of a logo on a white background as a backdrop for some of the pages. I see where to make a photo into the background for a page. But when I try to make the logo as the background, the logo FILLS the page.
Is there a way to make the logo smaller so it will be a just a small thumbnail on the page instead?

Make an 11 x 8.5 page that looks like the background you want in pages, word, PhotoShop or some other program and print it choosing send to iPhoto then use that image as the background photo

Thanks for all your help. I just cannot get that page into iPhoto. Or if it is there somewhere, it does not want to be found. So I'm going to leave it for now and give it a rest and maybe try it again in a week or two with a fresh view on things.
Thanks for giving me all the different angles.
And if I find something that works, I will post it here.

If you can't get the image directly into iPhoto just do a Print to PDF. Open the PDF in Preview and use the Save As menu option to save it as a jpeg file. Then you can get that into iPHoto.
The Eagle has Landed! I have success!
Thanks so much. I did what you told me in that last posting. Then I used Paintbrush as my 3rd party image editor (not great I admit, but it did what I wanted to do in my test page). My husband just now suggested using Excel, too, but I have not tried that. If that works as the 3rd party editor, I'll let you know.
Again thanks so much for all your help & patience.
