Return Address Labels

I have printed out address labels on Avery 5260 three column 30 labels per sheet address labels. Now I want to print out several sheets of return address labels using me card. When I go to the print box, only one label shows up in the window. I, of course, want to print out a full sheet of labels with just my return address. If I click on print, will I get just one label printed or will it fill up the entire sheet. If I get just one label, how do I get the full sheet printed with the same label? Many thanks, Ed Morsman

Welcome to the discussions, Ed.

If you print a label from an Address Book contact you will get one label, not a sheet of labels. If you use Address Book to print contact addresses directly on to envelopes you can get it to print a return address also.

There is a product Roll Call Directory which will do this, but it has not been updated for a couple of years, so I don't know how usable it still is. Maybe you could try it and let us know 🙂

Dear Mr. Kinsella, Thanks for your prompt answer. Although I learned you can't print multiple return addresses all the same, your reply at least saved me a lot of frustrating time. I went to the Roll Call website which is quite elaborate but has not been updated in two years. I e-mailed them and have not had a reply. Not being able to print return address labels strikes me as a major design flaw that should be easily correctible. If you are with Apple or have any influence with them, I hope you will ask them for this simple enhancement. Avery sells label sheets specifically for return addresses and it makes no sense that they can not be used on a Mac. Again, many thanks for your help. Ed

I ran into the same problem today with the return address labels. I decided to create a new group in the address book and called it "return address labels." I copied my address card and pasted it in that "return address labels" group a total of 30 times (the # of labels per sheet). I then selected all 30 of my own address entries and printed them up. They came out fine. It's a pain that it has to be done that way, but it worked.
