MacBook Pro screen blinks

My new MacBook Pro display screen is blinking or flickering every few minutes now. I've only noticed it when I've switched to the integrated 9400M graphics processor. I don't recall seeing any blinks when using the discrete 9600M GPU. Usually it is only the top half or so of the display that blinks or flickers for a split second. Anyone else having the same problem?

MacBook Pro (Late 2008), Mac OS X (10.5.5), tv, iPhone, iPod Touch, et al

ok Stochastic,

I'm on C85 and all is ok since 1 april.

C85 is not my favorite display, i like more the C84 because off the best brightness and the better black and white and more easy to calibrate .
But this C85 do not flicker

I'm just asking you because i try to know if the problem
is only on C83 and C84 ...

Maybe it's not only a problem with the display.

This is untrue.
The 9c85 is far superior with twice the contrast ratio. At least according to this site that really does some testing to them. They don't just look at the screen and think it is super blue and powdery so it must be better. The browns and reds that come out in the 9c85 are closer to what a true 2.2 6500K calibrated display would show.

I understand fully. We like what we like.
Did you read the review though?
It looks at it more scientifically.
It has always been fairly difficult to calibrate a 6-bit TN laptop screen.
-The sensors don't make up dithered colors very well and end up guessing. Sometimes the profiles work but none are "actually" accurate. Plus they all differ by manufacturer. A huey does very pink profiles while the Spyder does very blue. All are wrong. I gave up. I profile my IPS display and drop 1.8 Gamma to 2.2 with Apples profile. If you open it you will notice specific matrix changes that "fix" the terrible color in laptops screens in general.
