text turn into smoke

hello.
is there a way i can make smoke turn into text in motion 3?

and in that case, how would i go about importing that over my video in fcp?

Fogwriter is interesting. I've used it many times to help destroy text. Add the Sparkler or Wick LiveFont and maybe even Oilfire. These effects only works with some typefaces, though.

To eradicate a text element into particles that look like smoke is not something I've tried to do in Motion. I hate Motion. In After Effects it's fairly simple and tutorials are available at most of the AE support forums. creativecow.net has at least one.

You can redner out of Motion and bring the movie into FCP or you can import the .motn project and let FCP handle the render for you. Which technique you use depends on your workflow and the predictability of the sequence.
