Pixelated fonts

Hi,

I have a problem with the font I'm using on the credits on my FCP project. I'm using the font Cracked, with Text. However, it appears pixelated, no matter the size. I'm also using the same font with Scrolling text, and there it is fine.

Anyone knows what should I do to avoid pixelating the font with Text?

MacBook Pro 15" 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo; 2 GB RAM, Mac OS X (10.5.4), Windows XP Pro / HP Media Center PC m7340la

Sometimes moving it up or down a pixel helps. Also, do check it on an export or viewing on an external monitor too... but I'd try shifting it one pixel some direction first.

I agree with Captain Mench. In the old days of FCP text only worked correctly on even numbered lines. I still keep them on even numbered lines--out of habit I guess. Also, check to see if your text is fully rendered--RT renders by definition don't fully render. When in doubt, render. And always check NTSC output on an NTSC monitor.

So, I checked the output on an external monitor and it looks good. Thank you guys, I was about to change the font and I didn't want to do that.

Anyway, at the risk of sounding completely dumb... Kevin, what did you mean by "even numbered lines"?

Even vs odd pixel lines. You can check it in the motion tab. It is what I was talking about moving it up or down a pixel.
