Exchange port 80 changed to 443

We changed our web outlook from 80 to 443 no problems, web works, BB works. The BB's only had to change http to https and email flows.
None of the iPhones can connect including the person that went to store, set it up correctly but no go. Are iPhones unable to retrieve via SSL?
With SSL and the cert, the logins are pretty simple, And this

http://mail.domain.com/exchange changed to
https://mail.domain.com/exchange
The login example is:
domain\name or name
password

It should work but it does not, Suggestions>?

We have an only Exchange server and yes I saw that kb article but thanks anyway. Since we use SSL only, the devices and web outlook work fine on 443, I am not doing server changes for a single user much less a group. BTW, the iPhone didn't connect to SSL on register.com either.
The solution for now is to send their email to a pop3 outside and they can connect to that unsecured.

Thanks everyone for the help.

Wait - the phone can't connect to OWA using Safari over SSL? If that's the case then this sounds like a possible certificate issue. The device will certainly use SSL; however, are you using a certificate provided by an intermediate CA from GoDaddy or one of the other vendors? If so you need to ensure the intermediate CA's certificate is installed on the phone so we can verify the entire chain of trust.
