IPOD Touch Applications Not Working

Hi There

I recently updated my Ipod Touch software to version 2.2. I then downloaded a few applications for the Itunes Store and synced my Ipod.

However when I try to open the applications they load for a few seconds and return to the main screen.

What should I do?

Thank you

Regards

I too have this problem. All of my apps work great when I install them, then after I sync with Itunes, they no longer work. They will load for a couple seconds and then shut off. If I remove the apps and then re-download them, they work again. That is a very annoying fix, especially when you have many apps to re-download.

I am also on the new 2.2 software.

Please help.

Thanks

I also have the same problem. I already called Apple Care, the tech support told me that IT IS NOT THE 2.2 UPDATE!! He can't even explain why it only happened after the update. His solution: TURN-OFF the ipod when not in use! Since applications will keep on running if not properly turned-off. Im going crazy with this problem and can't always turn it off, my battery will be drained! Hope Apple can fix it soon!

I was having the same problem and went through the support centre etc and didn't really get that much help. After reading through a heap of discussions here though someone suggested going on the iTouch to settings>General>Reset and Reset All Settings. This seems to have solved the problem at last...... so far anyway!

What a piece of dirt this iPod Touch is turning out to be.

I've tried all the suggestions--turning it on and off, resetting by holding down the on/off and home buttons, and reset all settings. None of it works.

This happens about once a day--making all downloaded apps inaccessible. Apps that I paid for, and apps that should certainly work since Apple has chosen a closed platform, won't work.

The only thing that seems to fix it for me is either adding or deleting an application.

This is truly unacceptable. I'm going to file a warranty claim and let them keep sending me new devices until they get it right.

I had this problem initially before I upgraded to 2.2 so I wouldn't blame that.

I resolved it by deleting the app and either downloading it again or syncing it from iTunes. Haven't had the problem recently.

I keep having this same problem after syncing (which I do every day).
My "solution" is to open App store, and either upgrade an app(if avail.), download a new one or deleting one and downloading it again. As soon as the download is finished, everything works fine.

The issue seems somehow to be related to whether the App Store is authorized with my password or not. Whenever the App Store is asking for my iTunes password, the downloaded apps will not load. As long as the App Store opens without asking for the password, all apps work fine.

I have made it a habit now to check before i leave my house, and if apps do not load I do the download fix. Then it stays until the next time i sync.

It's actually pretty amazing that Apple haven't already corrected this in a firmware upgrade...
