Downloaded files disappear

Downloaded files disappear

It seems some zip files get automatically unzipped and then the zip is nowhere to be found. How do I adjust the settings to do with downloading files? Any help would be great...rob

iMac intel 2.66 2gig 320HD, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

Open the General section of the Safari preferences and set it not to open safe files.

Thats it...I must be blind...thanks alot...but why does rthe original .zip get vaporised without asking?

You can use the Finder to "Archive" any single file or a folder of files to create a .zip (compressed) file of those contents.
