applecare in Thailand

I just moved to Thailand and I am going to buy Applecare for my 6 month old macbook bought in Canada. I understand that it is international on laptops but its recommended to buy it in the country you will most likely use it in. For me, that is Thailand as I will be staying long-term. It is much cheaper to buy on ebay but does it matter if it comes from another country? Or is it just important what country I register it in? I see one seller in Bangkok, Thailand selling it for $150 so I can buy it there if needed. I am just wondering if I should buy it from somewhere if it is cheaper or if that may lead to problems.
Thank you!

You will need to purchase and enroll an AppleCare Protection Plan in the country your MacBook is registered in. If you've already registered your MacBook in Canada, I'd recommend getting an APP there and enrolling it. It is possible to call AppleCare Support and change your registration information, though.

Also, you cannot use an APP from Canada to enroll in Asia. The AppleCare Protection Plan terms are different in different regions (Canada & the US, Latin American & the Caribbean, Europe, Southeast Asia, for example) so you'll have to get a plan that agrees with your registration address.
