Over the past few days the display on my MacBook Pro has been flashing a red tint intermittently at random times and durations. While the screen is tinted, flashes of white lines pass across the screen. Text also becomes jagged and unreadable. A few hours ago it persisted through reboots etc. It is visible on the apple screen even when I reboot. I have tried zapping the pram and had no effect.
The (un)funny thing is, my warranty went out last month...
Is there a simple solution to this? If not, does anyone know how much it will cost to fix?
I get the same problem. My external display isnt affected either so I hesitate to take it in. I mean, I can still use it and Apple will probably keep it for atleast a month if they agree to fix it though im out of Applecare. My colors varies though. I usually just get a white tint first, then if i press the CMD
ALTEject-combo it usually changes colors, though only once. If I press the same combo again it stays the same color.
I think it happens when the computer runs hot. Not too much solid evidence on that yet though.
i took a picture of it right here, do you have the same problem where every-other pixel is solid colored vertically?
