Touchpad driver for Late 2008 Mac books must be updated

It is simply impossible to click and drag or highlight multiple items in windows using the supplied hardware driver, it is obvious that this problem could be simply corrected since the hardware works flawlessly in OSX. We need a new driver for windows, this is not a working touchpad and can not really be considered meeting the minimum hardware requirements for even running windows without a functional pointing device. We need a new driver ASAP. This is a major problem. Can other users please confirm the same "click and drag" problems? This problem applies to late 2008 model mac book pros only i believe.

Mac book pro late 08, Mac OS X (10.5.5), Dual boot with Windows XP Pro Corp.

Yup, bluescreen crashes with applemtp.sys being the culprit on Windows XP via Bootcamp. Doesn't occur if using an external mouse. I can make it happen 100% on some programs, and on others it occurs randomly.

Solution for the time being - report problem to Apple and use an external mouse, which is no major problem, even though the recent trackpad update (which is now causing the bluescreens) fixed the 2 finger tap issue.

Ok, I have the same problem but I have a Windows7 beta. I have downloaded the new trackpad drivers but they will not install on this os. Is there a driver decompiler that I can use and then install the drivers manually?

Or if anyone will tell me who manufactures the touchpad for the macbooks then I will try to download them manually from the manufacturers website.

Oh and also... if you have an Nvidia GPU in your book, downloading drivers straight from Nvidia's website will work with the GPU. I haven't tried any games with it yet but it seems to be working correctly.
