I can't say for sure, but they look exactly like the ones that came with my iPhone 3G.

No. The new ones are of much higher quality and have two drivers. Additionally, they have a tighter in ear fit than the standard set that comes with the iPhone.

So the Apple Stereo Headset earbuds sold in the store are of lesser quality than the earbuds bundled with the iPhone 3G, but possibly the same as that of the 1st generation iPhone?

My apologies for misunderstanding you. I thought you were referring to Apple's new high end in-ear dual driver earphone set. The original link you provided contains an identical set to what is currently distributed with the iPhone.
