Setting up wireless internet on windows xp partition of mac os x
I installed a windows xp partition on my macbook, inserted the drive disk 1 and installed all the bootcamp stuff. However, my internet is not working on the windows partition. It registers my network, and says it is connected to it. When I go onto a webpage, there is no connection.
Hope someone can help. Thanks!

Same here. All I can tell you at the moment is that it CAN work. Sometimes I have a connection, sometimes not, and have not identified the cause.
When I click "repair this connection", the process seems to complete, but I don't get connected.
My internet connection is ethernet >> wireless bridge >> wireless link to cable modem >> internet.
IP address is automatic via DHCP server. This works some of the time.
The Mac Side is connected to the internet with almost no problems.
I think it has something to do with security. For some reason the boot camp driver for my Macbook Pro wireless card can only handle 802.11b. WPA security doesn't work on b, so you have to drop down to WEP or none. Then it should work. I am trying to figure out how to upgrade the driver so it can handle WPA but have not been successful yet.
Hi, I'm having this problem to, someone to me to download the drivers but i don't know which ones, if anyone solves this problem would you let me know please.
I am having trouble with Windows detecting the Linksys wireless router. At the Apple store they told me I might have to use a hard-wired connection (!!?!!) or find the drivers on the Mac (?) software. Neither of these suggestions sounds right. Help, please, anyone??
I installed Windows Xp into my MacPro ... so far the network card and bluetooth doesn't respond. Can't find the Airport Extreme station. Trying the repair option via the install disc. Hope all works...
Okay the reinstall disk did its repair job. Then I also turned my network from closed to open allowing for easy detect. Seems to work okay. The hard part is understanding how to utilize the security settings in the network settings? TKIP? AES? What is the difference and what does the Airport use when it says WPA2?
