IAC Driver MIDI channels

Hi,

If any of you are experienced with the AIC driver found in the "Audio MIDI Setup" utility. It seems that it will only give me one single MIDI channel.
I tried sending MIDI over channel 2 and it was remapped to channel 1.

In the IAC properties I have a port called "IAC Bus 1" and it says you can "indicate the number of MIDI in and out connectors from each port". However these are fixed at 1 each with no way of changing them.
As you can see in the following screenshot, the up/down buttons to set the number of connectors are not active - nor can you type a number in the text box:

I would appreciate any help you can give me with regards to setting up the IAC driver.

Open Logic, choose external Midi as a track object - in the tab on the right of your Arrange up to 4 IAC Busses with 16 channels each will appear. Now you can transmit Midi to the outside world by choosing one of those IAC channels. In a standalone app like Kontakt you can then choose this IAC channels as an Input for your Instrument/application. Vice versa in the environment->clicks and ports you can choose the IAC Busses to transmit Midi into Logic's sequencer, this way you can get external Midi data into Logic. In the Audio Midi setup there is nothing else to be edited/routed.

The IAC driver creates one (or more) MIDI ports. Every MIDI port can have up to 16 MIDI channels. The IAC driver does no rechannelising whatsoever - it's a dumb pipe that does no processing at all.

You haven't mentioned how you are using it, but whatever is doing the rechannelisation is doing it before it gets sent, or after it's received - it's nothing to do with IAC as such.
